WARNING: GRAPHIC CONTENT - NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN

Last week Animal Rescue Corps (ARC) raided a 'rescue' in Wingo Kentucky called 'Paws & Claws', where along with the Sheriffs Department they served Search & Seizure Warrants. This was the result of a 7 month long investigation by ARC.

What they found was shocking. The property was littered with the bones of dead dogs, and there were bodies of recently deceased dogs strewn across the property, it was a killing field. The dogs that were alive were in an appalling state.

What I'm going to tell you next is almost too sickening to comprehend. The dogs had been clearly starved, some of the dogs were so hungry that they had actually killed other dogs so they could eat them just to survive. ARC Volunteers saw fresh dogs bodies whose guts were hanging out and you could see where the guts had been picked on for food. In the picture below you can see one dog who stood guard over the body of his recently killed friend, he would not leave his fallen friend's side, it is the most heartbreaking thing i have ever seen.

Watch the video taken at the scene.

Dogs do not kill each other for food under any normal circumstance, this is a totally un-natural behavior, so you can only imagine how desperate they had to be to start killing and eating each other.

Sadly the horror did not stop there. As ARC Volunteers entered one dilapidated building on the property the ammonia was so overpowering that ARC had to limit the time that volunteers could spend inside. "Even with a respirator on my eyes were bleeding and it was very hard to breathe" said ARC Leader Scotlund Haisley. The dogs however had no respirators and they had no choice. They had to live in this hell day after day after day.

There were 100 dogs on the property when ARC went in, every single one of them was in terrible condition. Some had broken limbs, some had tumors, some had hernias, some had bite wounds, some were so emaciated that you could see every single bone in their skeleton coming through their skin & many were so badly matted that they could not see, hear or barely even move.

ARC setup a temporary emergency shelter in Nashville and the dogs have now all been transported to this facility. Here they are receiving world class care from some of the finest vets in the country, every single one of whom is working for free.

This operation is by no means over, the ARC Team is still on the ground tonight but the money has run out. I'm not going to sugar coat this, they need to get the fund required to finish this. $15,000 is needed right now. I need you to reach as deep as you can because these animals & this Team deserve nothing less.

I will match the first $2500 that you give tonight before Midnight Pacific Time. Please, give anything you can.
