Poor dental care can lead to gingivitis,tartar accumulation and also tooth enamel damage. If left untreated, gingivitis can progress to periodontics and the infection can spread to surrounding bone and enter the blood stream causing health issues. Once periodontal disease starts the changes are irreversible and it becomes easier for more plaque and tartar to accumulate leading to a worsening of the disease and eventually teeth loss.
